Online Poker Room will qualify seven hundred players for WSOP

Bodog Online, one of the prominent online poker rooms on the internet has announced that it would qualify a total of 700 players for the main event of the 2006 World Series of Poker. It would qualify 40 players every week for the event. The players get to be a part of the huge prize pool estimated to be around $10 million.

"We have had a spectacular reaction from our players and the poker industry," said the CEO of Bodog.com, Calvin Ayre. "Our aim is to ensure that our players are given every opportunity to qualify for the opportunity to compete against the world's best poker players. With 40 players qualifying each weekend, we are well on our way towards achieving this."

Bodog.com runs hosts around 30 tournaments on Saturdays. On Sundays, the online poker room has 10 tournaments. The buy-ins have a range of $67.50 to $270. Players can get an entry into the online poker room’s tournaments by paying just a small amount of $1.10. The players have to qualify from the first stage to the fifth stage to get an entry into the WSOP.

All the 700 players who qualify for the WSOP will receive a tournament buy-in worth $10000, $2500 for the travel expenses, WSOP Vip Lounge Access and Bodog Gear worth $1000.
